I am …

I am …

I’d like my day to start with freshness, openness, and expansiveness.

I need to make it a habit to be more purposeful for how I wake up in the morning. What do I want my first thoughts and choices to be as I come to the new day? First, I want to make sure I pay attention if I can remember my dreams and how I’m feeling about it and write it down! But then what? I know that my attitude and my thoughts are what gives me my direction. It’s going to make the difference for how I handle and navigate my day. Are they filled with gratitude, opportunity, gifts, or are they marred by dissapointment, frustration, and negativity.

I’ve had some challenges lately that feel like I’m riding out a storm. At times the sun comes out and then the clouds come in again. I don’t want to rush what I need to go through or learn because there is something to be gained in everything. However, I also know that how I talk to myself during the rough periods determines how long it stays rough. How I frame my world by naming it as I see it is also is just one perspective. I feel like I can go a week with forgetting this very thing that I know so well.

So how can I improve remembering to do the very things that will bring me to my highest self and purpose? Practice…lots of it. One way that helps me is by setting a goal for 30 days to do something. Out of this I can create a habit. Sometimes I have to re-do my 30 day run several times because I either missed a day or didn’t quite stick, but overall it’s been a very useful too to help me get started and continue something.

After watching Oprah’s Own Lifeclass show with Pastor Joel Osteen and the power of I am I decided that this is a simple way to set my mind right first thing in the morning. The general idea is that anything that follows the statement “I am” sets the tone for what’s to come. This isn’t a new concept to me but again it can be forgetten in my daily musings of life, so I want to practice and live it.

Goal – For the next 30 days I am going to set the tone of gratitude, opportunities, gifts, givings, and blessings. I will do this by creating I am statements that will lift me up and bring excitement to the day each morning. To help remind me, instead of using my phone alarm to wake me I’m going to use a Task with a reminder so that when it goes off, I will wake up and read – I am …

I’ll start off with a few right now because I am inspired to do so. Here is my first (or second if you count the one in this statement) one.

I am all that I want to be… NO not’s in my book.

Interestingly enough this came after I watched the show and wasn’t thinking about it at the moment. A friend had written that I was NOT something and this was my response automatically to that statement. Yay!

I am loved.

I am built perfect for my purpose.

I am carrier of light.

I am abundant.

I am blessed.

I am and have all that I need right now.

I am beautiful and worthy.

I am divine.

I am the only one that can be me.

I am grateful.

I am living in the flow of love.

Want to join me?
