Wow, you’d think that I’ve been doing nothing and therefore would have nothing to write about. Sorry for those who check my blog to find no postings since my meat adventure. I hate to disappoint, but I don’t have much to say at the moment either, but I was feeling a bit guilty for abandoning my blog.
Things are going well in my neck of the woods. Trying to organize and do all the little things that still need to get done for Africa. It’s amazing how many little things keep coming to the surface, but I don’t mind it’s all a part of the trip. I still can’t believe I’m getting the opportunity to go to Africa. Many days it doesn’t feel real. Then I see a picture, hear some music, and my smile grows ear to ear.
Summer has been great, I’ve done lots of this and that and have stayed pretty busy. I just got back from a large trade show called Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City. It’s the biggest trade show my company goes to and its always a pretty dang good time. Lots of work and long hours, but filled with good dinners and talking and meeting folks who work and live in the outdoors. Plus its really fun to check out what’s coming out in new outdoor gear from thousands of manufacturers!
Hmm, what else can I give a short update on…. …. ….. oh, it was 102 degrees today! Hottest day so far this summer. This is pretty tough when most of us don’t have AC. I’m lucky that my house is pretty shaded and I don’t think it got above 84 in here today.
Well, I’m reaching for things to write about and boring you all in the process. I hope to feel more inspired over the next while and hopefully lead me to some more postings. I’ll be sure to post after labor day weekend where I am headed to Bumbershoots Music festival in Seattle!! I’m really excited for it especially now that my friend Erica is flying out to join in the festivities :)
Ciao for now. peace and love
